Hello and welcome!
The Sullivan Sees led by me, Mick Cooper, have had some career standout points that are built around a few core things. First off, there’s the music. We’re definitely genre-defying. We move from Indie rock to blues, lounge, funk, and beyond with ease. It’s something we pride ourselves on – having that musical versatility and the rare ability to balance these genres without ever feeling out of place. We go wherever the song tells us to go. You hear it in our lounge-infused tracks, which have this nostalgic, almost cinematic feel, yet are modern in their execution. And Mic [US] brings his effortlessly cool rap skills, which we seamlessly blend with the indie rock and blues sound. It’s this diverse blend of styles, which we think makes each song feel like an invitation to experience a new version of the world.
We are pretty unique in our eclectic and multi-generational nature. We’ve got members from the UK, Italy, Argentina, Africa, China, the US, and France.
Release-wise, we have been steadily producing new material. Our debut album was Identity Problems. We’ve also got a forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled album that we’re excited about. Which includes the latest releases: Stereo Sisters, The Break Up Song, written by Pietro Johnson, it’s a “short but raucous romp” that’s “bursting with energy” and Total Redemption which was released in February.
If you’re looking for a sort of motto or philosophy for The Sullivan Sees, you could say it’s “Two hugs, a love and a kiss”. And our address, metaphorically speaking, is “en route to Island of Destiny”. We’re “Always open to people that want to join the search for the Island of Destiny”.
